On Friday 15 May 2020 Garrett Metal Detectors carried out the hobbies first ever live-streamed product launch for the Garrett Ace Apex metal detector.

We found out that there will be two options when purchasing at launch (currently expected in August 2020). You can purchase either with or without Garrett Z-Lynk MS3 headphones. U.K. pricing is £459.95 without headphones and £519.95 with MS3 wireless headphones.
WHY GARRETT ACE APEX?
This new product will be the pinnacle, the apex if you like, of Garretts ACE range of machine. With over a million units of Garrett ACE sold worldwide so far it makes sense to continue this heritage, adopt the ACE name, and make some breakthrough advances that have not yet been seen in a metal detector at this price range.
THE DESIGN
With a sleek new design the APEX will continue to use the yellow colour range that is so familiar to Garrett ACE users. With a slimmer control box design this unit is very pleasing on the eye and should balance incredibly well in the hand. With a fully waterproof handgrip and adjustable arm cup so you can suit it to your own level of comfort, this machine should allow many hours of comfortable detecting.
MULTI-FLEX TECHNOLOGY
Multi frequency technology has been a recent hit with detectorists over the last few years with introductions from Minelab, Nokta Makro and XP. Garrett have now joined these with their cutting edge broad-bandwidth digital platform. Not only can you select your operating frequency (5kHz, 10kHz, 15kHz or 20kHz) but you can also elect one of APEXs simultaneous multifrequency modes too - Multi Frequency or Multi-Salt. This flexibility will allow you to achieve excellent detection on all targets in all soils giving more versatility than can be found on any other detector in the price range!
IRON VOLUME
Garretts Iron Volume allows you to decrease the volume of iron targets whilst the volume of non-ferrous targets remains at normal level. Experienced detectorists often like hearing all available targets but having the ability to decrease volume of undesired items allows you to detect in a way that suits you. With eight Iron Volume adjustments, APEX offers fantastic flexibility.
VIPER MULTI-FLEX COIL
This new coil size (6"x11" DD) blends two of Garretts most popular coil sizes. The 6" width allows east target separation in high iron infested areas whilst the 11" length still provides great ground coverage as you swing.
